Last week, our client Foundry Commercial LLC, who partnered with the Carrie Meek Foundation, broke ground on the historic Carrie Meek International Business Park in Opa-locka, Florida. Carrie Meek International Business Park will be a Class A, 1.5 million sq. ft. state of the art industrial space with aviation and office warehouse uses. Amazon will be the first tenant of the business park, building a 800,000 sq. ft. fulfillment center and creating more than 1,000 full-time jobs.

In addition to the Carrie Meek International Business Park, Foundry has broken ground on three other industrial parks. WestPark 85 and Steele Point, both in Charlotte, NC, will contain up to 1.1 million sq. ft. of industrial space and up to 400,000 sq. ft. of industrial space, respectively. Princeton Oaks, in Orlando, FL, will contain 1.1 million sq. ft. of industrial space.
