Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A. (Orlando, Florida, USA) assisted with the deal structure and closing of a $42 million loan to finance the construction of a luxury student housing community containing a 6-story, 600 unit dormitory with faith center, parking garage and related amenities for the provision of student housing at the University of Central Florida (UCF). The project is being built by a developer who ground leased approximately 16 acres of land donated by philanthropist and firm client Alan H. Ginsburg to Central Florida Hillel and the University of Central Florida Real Estate Foundation. The project is intended to house students at UCF starting in August of 2013, and will be managed by UCF Housing and Residence Life.
The firm is once again proud to honor our long-time client, Alan Ginsburg for his recent accomplishments. His motivation for this project in particular began with his vision to help central Florida students fulfill their spiritual needs while in college. Ginsburg has a very impressive history with UCF, having donated a substantial amount of money to the UCF College of Medicine and for taking a great interest in the Hillel Foundation for Jewish students.
Key lawyers involved in this transaction were Aaron Gorovitz, Gary Kaleita, Alex Dobrev and Amanda Wilson.
We celebrate our client, Alan Ginsburg.
