FINFROCK recently signed a design-build contract with Capstone Development Partners in conjunction with The University of South Florida to build new student housing that will replace an existing housing complex built in the 1960s.

The project, a $134 million public-private partnership with Capstone Development Partners and Harrison Street, is the largest public-private partnership student housing project approved by the Florida Board of Governors in the history of the state university system, according to USF.

The first phase includes 900 beds and will be complete in time for fall semester, 2017. The second phase will be complete one year later. The housing will eventually accommodate over 2,150 students and be part of “The Village,” a community featuring five student housing buildings comprised of suite-style and traditional hall style accommodations, a dining hall, wellness facility, outdoor pool and retail spaces. “This project is noteworthy for FINFROCK as it is our largest ever contract.” FINFROCK is an independently owned group of Florida corporations headquartered in a 93-acre complex in central Florida. The companies, Finfrock Design, Inc., Finfrock Industries, Inc., and Finfrock Construction, Inc., offer complete design-build services for student housing, multi-unit residential, hotel, mixed-use, office buildings and parking garages.  Customers include private owners, developers, construction managers, and governmental agencies.
